"BURP...."
That was the common sound heard last night after a group of our Sunday football regulars got together for the inagural monthly gathering at Keen's Steakhouse. This gathering came about after a couple of members of the Sunday Brew Crew (as I affectionately call them) got to talking about the void that was created after the Super Bowl. This group had so much fun getting together during the season that it was a shame that everyone would scatter and disappear until the next football season. So it was decided that they would get together once a month for dinner/drinks and catch up on things.
That being said, last night was the first gathering of the Brew Crew. There were six of us who made it for dinner: Angel, UConn Fan, Mr. Happy, Hash Brownie, the Good Samaritan and myself. Now, as many times as we got together at the bar for games and such, this was actually the first time I got together with all of them outside of Third and Long. I often wondered what a sit-down dinner would be like with this motley crew. On the surface, these guys (and girls) are mild-mannered, respectable members of society. However, in the back of my mind, knowing what they are capable of, I couldn't help but to sense that some debauchery would take place at some point....and boy I wasn't disappointed. When I arrived and half of the party was belly up at the bar slamming martinis, I should have taken it as a sign. Now I was sworn not to divulge details of the dinner, so out of respect for the crew I won't. However, let me say between dinner and drinks afterwards back at Third and Long, I can say that I learned a lot about bra quality and shaved body parts. Can't wait until next month!
Tonite there is a party hosted by the nurses of NYU Medical Center. If any of you ever had the pleasure of partying with these girls, then you know that they party hard and take no prisoners. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by-I promise you won't regret it. I look forward to getting a personal examination myself....heh heh heh..
Gotta cut it short today-working a double. Weather's nice so stop by and say hi!
NUFF SAID!
