Ah...WHAT A RELIEF!

After writing my short post last night, I went outside and there was such a marked difference between the oppressive heat during the day and the nice cool breeze that came after the mini-rain storm we got in the early evening. Even after waking up today, the temp difference from yesterday and today is dramatically different, and for that, I am thankful. I don't think yours truly could have stood another day like yesterday.

Last night, we found ourselves in a middle of a bomb scare. The block was sectioned off from 35th Street to 36th Street; Police cars, Emergency Service Units, FDNY... it was bizzare! The block was shut down for about 45 minutes- it looked like something from a movie. Folks were milling about,some looking concerned, others making light of it. Ultimately it turned out to be a false alarm. I guess with everything that happened in London and Egypt, the police are going to take every call seriously and treat it like the real thing. That sucks but it's the world we now live in.

Today I find myself getting ready for Happy Hour; I have been dealing with an ongoing problem with my ice-machine; it always wants to act up at the worst possible time. Hopefully i'll have it resolved soon enough. Talk about a pain in my ass. But it will work out- it always does.

We have FRENCHY and the smokin' hot FIRELADY working behind the stick tonite- and of course, $4 CORONAS/MICHELOB LIGHT/SANGRIA and MARGARITAS starting at 5pm! Hopefully there will be some good stories to report tonite!
