"ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END"
It's Tuesday, the day after a L-O-N-G holiday weekend in NYC. Yours truly was on call pretty much the whole weekend, yet for the most part, it was pretty mellow around these parts. The exodus out of the city actually began for many people on Thursday; By Friday afternoon, the neighborhood felt like it normally does on a Sunday; relatively quiet and traffic free. By Friday night, I could safely play in the middle of 3rd Avenue and not worry about getting hit by a car....and by Saturday, forget about it. I could have set up a picnic in the middle of the street and had nothing to worry about. Things picked up on Monday as people began to return from their weekend respite, and we had a steady flow of customers by Monday afternoon, no doubt getting their pre-game on before the much-anticipated MACY'S fireworks. After the fireworks, the bar was mobbed and stayed that way until well after midnight.
So today we are pretty much back to normal. I anticipate there will be a bit of lull as the holiday revelers struggle to get back on track. But with the Yankees playing a rare weekday game this afternoon, I should at least have some company.
We are bringing aboard a few new beers on tap: BUDWEISER SELECT and MICHELOB AMBER BOCK. Make sure to try these out when you get an opportunity. And don't forget, DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS continues tonight. I'll be back to full speed with the next update! Welcome back and .....
