Last night I took in a performance by our own MASTER THESPIAN at a Film and Television showcase in Midtown. In a nutshell, an acting school or studio presents a showcase of their best students in various acting scenes to show their talents to prospective agents and studio reps. Each person will act in a scene or monologue which lasts anywhere from two to ten minutes. Some actors were okay, others were really good. Our friend, MASTER THESPIAN, however, was actually pretty good. He performed in two separate scenes; one pretty funny bit as a folk singer, and the other, a poignant scene from the film GARDEN STATE. It allowed him to demonstrate his range as actor. It was interesting to see him outside of the bar element, in a setting that he was very comfortable in. I hope he gets some good feedback from the industry reps; he deserves a shot at the brass ring.
If you are interested in catching him at the showcase, it runs for two more nights: Tonight and tomorrow, starting at 6:45pm at WEIST-BARRON THEATRE/STUDIO, 35 West 45th Street, 6th floor. It's worth the trip and best of all, IT'S FREE!

SUPER BOWL BASH is coming up this Sunday! There are still a few boxes left, so you know what to do. Nuff said on that. If you thought the craziness of Championship Sunday was fun, just wait until this Sunday! I suggest you get there early to claim a good spot, because it will fill up fast. In an effort to not get three strikes, you want to talk to a person in a store. DON'T BE CRAZY. Go to HP.COM and get an HP/Compaq, it's a simple chinese menu that you select all of your options and they send it to you in a week. I just got one myself, with no issues.

Matser Thespian did indeed put on a great show last night, and he clearly stood out from the rest of the actors. Plus, he had that lovely little flower rubbing her breasticle on his arm during his Garden State skit. Lucky bastard.
