AN EXERCISE IN FUTILITY....

All week the weather pundits were predicting big things for this storm and of course, I scoff at their predictions because most of the time they are off. Well let me tell you, they sure made up for it this time. We got CLOBBERED! At 8am, I began to clear out the mounds of snow that had accumulated around the building. By the time I finished one end of the building, the other end was covered again. It is safe to assume at this point that the snow is falling at a rate of 1-2" an hour, and it is supposed to keep falling throughout the day.

I had to take a couple of photos to emphasize the severity of the storm. You literally cannot see down the block. As I am typing this, I'm listening to Mayor Bloomberg talk about the do's and don'ts of clearing snow. For example, he recommends not to shovel snow into the street (oops!). Well, where else am I supposed to put it? Oh well, I won't worry about that. Gotta keep the blood pressure down.

Back to shoveling.

The picture of 3&L with the snow falling is great. It's the perfect winter New York scene...

To make it perfect, I'd be sitting in the window draining a couple pints.

What's with the umbrella? Who carries an umbrella in a BLIZZARD?

I concur about the umbrella, she's a douche, however, I think it's a cool picture.
