DID YOU HEAR THAT???

That was the sounds of a taxi cab, crashing into KINKOS on East 39th and 3rd Ave at around 1am. Apparently the cab was dueling with another taxi over a fare when one car sideswiped another and forced it onto the sidewalk and into the closed storefront. Luckily no one was seriously hurt, but the incident made me think about the number of times i've seen cabs fight over fares, just in front of the bar. Picture this, a patron leaves the bar and walks to the curb and flags down a cab. All of a sudden, two or three cabs come racing over at the same time in a mad dash to pick up the potential fare. It wouldn't surprise me if one of these times a cab comes racing into our front window after getting sideswiped. Scary thought.

Last night was a pretty standard Thursday night with a more than a few people enjoying the MOLSON CANADIAN promo. There were many guys there, not so much to enjoy watching the Rangers beat the Islanders, but more to check out the hot MOLSON Promo Girl. (she was pretty hot, btw). We also had a lot of locals hanging out, which is pretty cool as we normally get more of an after-work scene on Thursdays. I managed to get through most of the night without any "flare-ups", so it's safe to say that I am getting physically better (I hope).

TONIGHT: AFTER-WORK HAPPY HOUR (5-9pm): $3 Domestic Drafts/ $5 Cosmos, Appletinis and Margaritas. Catch the Yankees, Mets and all hockey action as we gear up for the playoffs!

SATURDAY: KICK THE KEG Saturdays (12pm-8pm): $2 mugs, all beers on tap! BROOKLYN PAULIE will be manning the stick so stop by and say what's up!

SUNDAY: CHILL OUT SUNDAYS: $3 Domestic Drafts/ $5 Cosmos, Appletinis and Fuzzy Martinis ALL DAY LONG! Here's your chance to recover from that long weekend. Unwind with your Sunday Times, a game of UNO or catch some baseball or NASCAR on our many TV's! And best of all: You get to spend the day with me!
