WEEKEND RECAP.....

Since i'm still up catching up on my fix of that brilliant British tv show "MILE HIGH", now is as good a time as any to update the blog with a weekend recap.

The weekend was busy one, and surprisingly, a fun one. I didn't come across any problems (aside from the usual little things that take place when working at a bar) that would make me stress out, which is a good thing. Even met some interesting people along the way.

FIREGIRL made a rare appearance behind the bar, along with the RUNNING MAN (who was filling in for SULLY-T, who was under the weather). Neither had worked together before, but they meshed well as a team. The evening started out with a party thrown by some members of TNT (Team in Training). It was a fundraiser for one of the members to assist in defraying costs for an upcoming marathon they were training for. The party started out a bit slow, but soon enough, the bar was filled with a nice large group of supporters, many of which were rather hot, buffed babes who obviously looked like they've run a marathon or two.

Among the group of supporters were a group of people from my neck of the woods, CLEVELAND, OH. Turned out they were all graduates from CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY. My little brother attended that very school and it's located near my home, so it was nice to meet people from back home.

By 11pm, the bar began to swell and things were going great. Everyone seemed to be into the moment as there seemed to be a lot of hooking up taking place. So far, so good. Later in the evening, a group of guys en route from a bachelor party stopped by for a pop. As you can tell by the groom, he had a long night indeed...purple suit and all...

I also had the opportunity to meet a group of nice people from Scotland. They were celebrating their last night in NYC after being here for Tartan Week. The Scotish clan really enjoyed our bar because they ended up sitting in the same spot at the corner of the bar for hours, taking in all of the fun.

Finally, just before we wrapped up for the night, I couldn't resist getting a shot of a guy who couldn't wait to get home from the bar to get sick, so he made his wife pull over and he did his business right in front of the bar. Bless his heart.

SUNDAY was another leisurely day with the bulk of the entertainment revolving around the Masters golf tournament. We were doing a lot of trash talking about the different golfers and such and you know...boys will be boys. Lots of the usual laughs and hi-jinks. Later in the evening, I met three lovely ladies from Florida who were here visiting for the week. We got into a conversation ranging from women's rights to racism to TONY DANZA (don't ask me how). Very pleasant to talk to. All in all, not a bad day, even if it was a bit slow.

MONDAY is the beginning of a new week and DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS, with $1 Bud/Bud Light and Killian's Red mugs all night long.

NUFF SAID
