The Best Show on TV, Bar None.... DEADWOOD

After watching tonite's episode of DEADWOOD on HBO, it's safe to say that it's the best show on TV, bar none. With it's intense storyline, quirky characters, brilliant dialogue and rustic scenery, I find myself riveted to the TV every Sunday night. Now enjoying it's third season, it's the anchor of HBO's powerful Sunday night lineup.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, HBO has decided to make this season it's last. It's a shame because it isn't very often that you come across a show with both brilliant acting and writing. HBO has tried to placate the core audience by saying that it would produce 2 two-hour movies to tie together the loose ends of the storyline. I don't think that would do this show justice. As they say in the business, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it.... ". What a shame. In the meantime, all I can do is look forward to the season/series finale next week. *sigh*
