SOMETIMES THINGS ARE BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND...

I recently "rediscovered" the HBO/BBC comedy series EXTRAS, starring RICKY GERVAIS (the producer of the cult comedy hit THE OFFICE). Having watched him in the original version of THE OFFICE, I realized that this guy is a brilliant comedy actor and when I found out he was producing a new show for HBO, of course, I was anxious to check it out. However, when the show finally aired, I wasn't that thrilled about it. I don't know if it was because I was expecting something like THE OFFICE, but for some reason, I couldn't quite get into it right away. So when HBO recently started to air the episodes again, I decided to give it another go. So with the help of HBO ON DEMAND, I was able to catch all of the episodes on my own time. And I'm glad I did. The show is BRILLIANT! With Gervais' usual deadpan humor and a great supporting cast and guest stars, EXTRAS is definitely worth a look. I'm eagerly looking forward to Season 2, and after checking it out, I'm sure you'll agree with me.

It's Tuesday and that means, yes, it's DOLLAR DRAFT NIGHT ($1.00 Bud and Bud Light MUGS all night long). Stop by after work and enjoy a couple of cold ones with us!

By the way, if I were you, I'd bring an umbrella today. Something tells me that you're going to need it.
