RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY.....

Last night turned out to be a pretty slow night (for a Tuesday anyways); this was no doubt due to the torrential rainfall we received. It was pretty much a mess. The Mets were even rained out, that's how bad it was. Even with the crappy weather, however, some of the die-hard regulars still made it out for their ritual of what we pleasantly call "Dollar Draft Madness". Those die-hards were showing up in cabs, or walking in with parachute-like umbrellas, just to be with their friends. There's something to be said, I guess about the camaraderie that comes with sharing mugs of beer. For some people, it's about the cheap thrill of only having to pay a buck for a cold beer; For others, it's the excuse to get together with friends and rehash the events of the weekend, or to vent over personal issues that keeps them coming back week after week. In any case, for people like that, what's a little rain? They are going to be there, no matter what, and that's pretty cool.
