SIMPLY AMAZIN'!!!
The New York Daily News article pretty much sums it up. (read full story HERE) We saw the Amazin's put the city on its ear with a gut-wrenching victory over the LA DODGERS yesterday at Shea Stadium. And Met fans were going nuts at the bar, hanging on every pitch. A camera crew from SPORTSNET NEW YORK came by to interview diehard fans (scheduled to air on Time Warner Ch. 26 this Saturday) and they got enough soundbites to last a lifetime.
Game Two takes place tonight and we'll carry every pitch beginning at 8pm. As for the Yankees, they were rained out last night and as a result, they play their Game Two this afternoon at 1pm. So for all of you die-hard Yankee fans, sneak out of work and bring your lunch to the bar as we'll have the game on for you as well as $3.00 pints of Sam Adams, Coors Light or Bud/Bud Light all afternoon!
MAN POACHING?
Speaking of the NY Daily News, there was an interesting article that started out talking about the "catfight" between PARIS HILTON and SHANA MOAKLER (ex Miss USA), over MOAKLER's ex-husband, BLINK 182's drummer TRAVIS BARKER. Apparently, MS. HILTON hooked up with BARKER (shocker) while he was still married to MOAKLER; the two ladies bumped into each other at some swanky club and had it out (allegedly MOAKLER popped PARIS in the face- see full story HERE)
The article then segues into one that discuss the issue of women stealing other women's boyfriends/mates. The main reason why I even bring this up is simple: Apparently this kind of thing happens a lot more than I'd ever imagine. I didn't realize that you girls could be so cutthroat! It basically says that this kind of thing happens most with females and their friends who happen to have a boyfriend/mate. What's that about? Is there that much of a man shortage for you ladies? Celeb examples given include DENISE RICHARDS and HEATHER LOCKLEAR/RICHIE SAMBORA, as well as PARIS HILTON and a long list of victims... (see story HERE). An interesting read. I wonder, do you know of anyone this has happened to? Has this happened to you? C'mon ladies, now's the time to dish the dirt!

Yo, what's up with $1 Tuesdays and $4 Thursdays? Does the day of the week make that much of a difference? Do people from Milwaukee get $1 everyday? Help a brother out.
Any nice cheap hotels in the area? I'm going to do research today, renter and I will swing by.

As for hotels, I'd recommend doing a flight/hotel combo via sites like Expedia.com or Priceline.com. You can usually get good deals this time of year.
As for drink deals, you may have to get the "renter" to do some kind of table dance or something to get that discount. We're all still skeptical about her boobie size!
