BIG WIN FOR BIG RED!
Last night, the bar was teeming with fans of RUTGERS University (both real and band-wagon jumpers), excited about their big game vs #3 ranked LOUISVILLE on national TV. For years, RUTGERS' football team had been the butt of many jokes here in the Northeast; Finally, after years and years of futility, they finally put together a winning team- going undefeated and achieving a #15 ranking in the nation, heading into last night's big game.
The tension was thick as the fans hung on every play; things didn't look good for the Scarlet Knights as LOUISVILLE jumped out to a quick lead. By halftime, RUTGERS was down 22-7, but the fans remained optimistic. The second half was all RUTGERS, as they played like a team possessed as they totally dominated the Cardinals and ended up with a very exciting, last-second victory, 28-25. The bar went nuts as the supporters of the Scarlet Knights celebrated as if they'd won the national championship.
The rest of the night consisted of the drunken revelers celebrating and debating whether or not RUTGERS should be considered for the National Championship game. Good natured stuff. It was nice to see such enthusiasm over a college football game.

SUNDAY: "FAN-tasy Football Sunday". $3.00 Coors Light Pints/ $4.00 Domestic Pints ALL DAY LONG!
Also want to wish a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to MR. CHIPS, our #1 NY GIANTS fan! We'll take care of him on Sunday, BREW CREW STYLE!
Oh and before I forget, I had another celebrity sighting last night; ANNE HATHAWAY (Princess Diaries, The Devil Wears Prada) took a casual stroll by the bar last night with a girlfriend. Not a bad piece of arse!
