CLEAR SKIES IN THE FORECAST....

24 hours ago, the skies were dark and gloomy, with mounds and mounds of rain pummeling us. A day later, however, it's a beautiful, sunny day. Temps are expected to hit close to 70 degrees. What a difference a day makes.

Last night was a particularly slow night at the bar, no doubt due to the monsoon we experienced. I did get to spend some quality bar time with BABY GIRL, who had a late night at work and decided to pop in for a nitecap. We ended up talking extensively and I got a chance to really get to know her. And I have to say, I walked away impressed with what I've learned about her. I've always gotten a sense that she was a cool person to begin with, but after really getting to know her and what she's about, I find that I like her that much more. She's quality, that's for sure.

While we were at the bar talking, there was a couple sitting next to us, deep into their own conversation. Now we weren't trying to listen in on what they were saying, but you couldn't help but to overhear it- and from what we could pick up, the female (a really petite, perky and brash young lady...maybe 4'11") was reaming out her boyfriend (tall, white collar type, kinda passive, easily about 6') something fierce. The reason why was typical boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. Where was the relationship going? Why don't you take me seriously, blah blah blah..... However, the way she was ripping this guy to shreds was akin to a teacher admonishing a student or your parent giving you a stern lecture. And the poor schlub was just taking it, like a wimp. Funny but sad at the same time....

TONIGHT: Big college football game for the locals as RUTGERS puts their undefeated record on the line on national TV vs LOUISVILLE starting at 7:30pm. It's also LITE NITE THURSDAY, with all LIGHT beers for $4.00!
