I found myself saying that on more than one occasion last night as a typical Friday night turned into a rare weekend night for the SUNDAY BREW CREW as almost all of the Sunday regulars made an appearance. It started with STIFFLER , who arrived with a couple of friends who were visiting NYC from his home base of ATLANTA, GA. As soon as he left, JON CUSACK showed up, looking for his wingman, who just left minutes earlier. While this was going on, SILENT BOB and his lovely wife was hanging out with DIRTY SANCHEZ, keeping me entertained all the while. Soon after, AFRIKA BAMBATTA made a rare Friday fly-by (no doubt, meeting up with one of his fillies); ANGRY BLACK then popped in and added some colorful language to an already rowdy group. Soon after that, MR. LOW-KEY and AMERICAN PSYCHO showed up and next thing you know, it was Sunday afternoon all over again.
The crowd was boisterous and loud; lots of jokes, animated gestures and yes, someone even felt the need to drop their pants. Not going to say who. You can probably figure it out though.
SEXY BLONDE even made a rare appearance- however, she committed a Third and Long fashion faux-pas by wearing the dreaded rubber rainboots that I detest so much.
Ugh. Where's the number to the fashion police?
On a stranger note, there was a group of guys (kinda like computer geeks) who were hanging out among themselves near the back of the bar. After hanging for a few hours, they began to leave, no doubt, feeling no pain. As they gathered outside for a smoke, one of the guys decided that he wanted to post a sticker on the one way sign on the corner of the street. Next thing you know, the guy's shimmying up the pole and is hanging by one hand while placing a sticker on the pole. Of course, with this new camera of mine, by the time I get the damn thing on, he'd already slapped his sticker on the sign and jumped down from the pole....
It was just one of those nights.....
Tonite I am scheduled to attend my first holiday party of the season, an Xmas blowout hosted by AMERICAN PSYCHO. All of the cast of characters should be there. Should be interesting, to say the least. Photos to follow...
