Over the past 1 11/12 years, the "blog" has gained quite a few fans from all over the country. From time to time, I've had the opportunity to meet people who came to the bar, strictly because of the blog. From California to Hong Kong to London to New Zealand, blog supporters seem to want to check out the place behind the name. More often than not, curiosity seekers come to Third and Long, not so much for the bar itself, but to meet the people that I talk about. They come by to try and figure out the characters that dominate the pages ("Is that SILENT BOB? I thought so, WOW he IS loud!"); For as I always say, it's the people I write about that makes this place what it is.
We're getting a visit tonight from another blog fan; this time it's KAT, a fellow Ohioan who has her own blog and is a big fan of ours. She happens to be in town for business and visiting NYC for the first time, and has made stopping by our place a priority on her "must-do" list. So if any of you "regulars" are around for DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS tonight, I'll make sure to introduce you. Should be cool.
