ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

(gates ready for use for tomorrow's protest march)

If you haven't noticed in your travels to and from work, there are signs posted all over 3rd Avenue warning us of an upcoming rally taking place this Thursday. Okay, no big deal, right? When you've seen one rally, you've seen them all. Or so I thought. Apparently, this rally (over healthcare) is going to be a big one. My buddy, SILENT BOB received this email from his office superiors:

Tomorrow, Thursday, March 15th, our area will be the site of what is expected to be a large demonstration protesting health care budget cuts. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 2pm and last until about 5pm - although protestors will probably begin arriving in the area much earlier.

Demonstrators will convene on 26th Street between Third and Fifth Avenues, and then march north on Third to Governor Spitzer's office (633 Third Avenue). The actual rally site will include the west side of Third Avenue between 40th and 34th Streets.

As upward of 20,000 people are expected to participate, heavy traffic (and pedestrian) disruptions can be anticipated.

(this block will be jammed packed with protesters by this time tomorrow)

So with all of the anticipation of MARCH MADNESS, now we gotta deal with this too? WTF?

A word to the wise: Get to the bar early.
