I just realized as I am typing this that it's Friday the 13th. Now traditionally that day has always been symbolized as a day of bad luck. I have to be honest, I've never had any bad luck on that particular day (from what I can remember); So maybe it's just an urban legend. Who knows?
Thursday night was a special night as I got to sit in on a retirement party for a member of the FDNY. From the number of people who showed up for the surprise party, you could tell right away that this person was well liked within the department. If you were a female and had a thing for firemen, you may as well have hit the lottery because the place was practically wall-to-wall FDNY.
The spirit of the night was a festive one, with plenty of laughs, old stories and flowing beverages lasting well into the night. The testosterone was pretty heavy- it reminded me a lot of an episode of "RESCUE ME", but for one night, it was okay. Everyone had a good time and the guest of honor was pleasantly surprised. Good for him.

Mmmm...firefighters. Way fucking hot. That is it, I'm moving to NYC since the landlord feels the need to go buy a gun. And you know drunks and guns don't mix well. I will end up beng shot in the ass saying it's Jackass worthy. Yeah, I be safer in NYC.
