WHACKED!!!!!
(Sopranos' spoiler alert)!

Last night's episode of the Sopranos was a doozy. As the HBO's legendary series winds down to its final few episodes, the stakes went up a few notches as we were taken by surprise by the untimely rubout of one of the show's favorite characters. (if you don't want to know who I'm talking about, I'd suggest you stop reading now)

"Christopher Moltasanti", the wild nephew of mob boss, "Tony Soprano" was put to pasture last night in a less-than-conventional way. While there was rampant speculation among Sopranos' fans in the bar that Moltasanti would either get "clipped" or turn mob rat for the
Feds, the manner in which he was "terminated" and the timing of it was what caught me off guard.

While "Christopha" was always a bit of a loose cannon, with his reckless temper, drug lifestyle and wannabe "Godfather" attitude, he was truly one of the show's most popular characters. With three episodes left, it should be interesting to see what the fallout of his death will be to the show's storyline. Conspiracy theorists, what say you now?

I also found myself getting caught up in the finale of SURVIVOR, which was surprisingly entertaining. Am I pathetic or what?

Yesterday was Mother's Day and I took the day off, which actually came in handy since I found myself pressed into service last minute on Saturday night. While it was beautiful outside, I took the opportunity to catch up on sleep and ended up sleeping more in one day than I had the whole week prior. It felt great. Feeling rejuvenated, I am up early today, ready to tackle the projects of the week.

Looking on the calendar I see that this weekend brings upon us the start of Interleague Baseball and the "Subway Series" between the Yankees and the Mets and with it, the bragging rights of NYC. That's always a fun time as fans of both teams are fiercely loyal to their respective teams. We also have the second leg of Horse Racing's "Triple Crown" on Saturday with the running of The Preakness Stakes. Will we finally get a Triple Crown winner? There hasn't been one in almost 30 years and racing fans are chomping at the bit for one. The Preakness Stakes will determine whether or not there will be a shot of one or not. Should be a good race.

My favorite weather babe, LINDA CHURCH is once again calling for great weather this week, so that should bode well for the establishments on 3rd Avenue. With great playoff action continuing in the NBA and NHL, the Subway Series and the Preakness Stakes, it should be a good week.

DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS tonight with $1.00 MUGS, BUD, BUD LIGHT and COORS LIGHT. FIREMARSHALL ED and F.I.T. GIRL will be manning the stick tonight!

Look forward to seeing everyone!
