THEY'RE BAAAAACK!Women of New York City are getting their panties in a bunch at the thought of thousands of sailors from all over the world, invading the city. Boyfriends are frantically planning early vacations to scoop their women out of the city before the sailors march into the Big Apple this Wednesday for a week of "R and R" (rest and relaxation) and to pillage the town of its women and booze.
It's FLEET WEEK, and beginning this Wednesday and running through the weekend, everywhere you turn, you will see uniformed seamen walking around the city and taking in the sights. After being out at sea for months at a time, the seamen use this time to unwind and have a rip-roaring time. It's a great boon for local businesses, and single women love it. There's something about a man in uniform that drives chicks crazy. Not quite sure why. I'll try to figure it out this week when the boys sail into town.
In the meantime, batten down the hatches!
