HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY!
June 1 marks the 40th Anniversary of the release of the critically acclaimed album, SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND, by the Beatles. Voted the #1 album of all time by ROLLING STONE magazine and revered by many rock and roll fans, this album was cited by many music critics as the most influential album in rock and roll history.
Often looked at as the first album to venture out onto new recording frontiers, this album received critical acclaim due to its unique sound, artwork, recording techniques, wide range of instruments not heard before in prior rock recordings, etc. A landmark album on all levels.
As you look at the list of songs on this landmark album, one can't help but to nod and smile as many of the songs are truly classics:

In other news:

ANAHEIM LEADS OTTAWA 2-0
The DUCKS of ANAHEIM held serve and won both home games in the best-of-seven STANLEY CUP series against my OTTAWA SENATORS. Now the series moves north of the border to the Sens' home ice. I am somewhat concerned about where my team stands at the moment but I am hoping that they will right the ship in time for Game 3 this Saturday night. One good thing: The rest of the Cup will be televised on NBC, which means no more VERSUS, the channel from hell. Another good thing: America finally gets an opportunity to experience the controlled chaos they call DON CHERRY, as he makes a guest appearance on the NBC sportscast during the rest of the series. To call CHERRY a "colorful" character is a huge understatement. He makes DON IMUS look like the Rev. BILLY GRAHAM. Should be interesting.
Then there's the A-ROD scandal. When it rains, it pours in Yankee camp these days. First, the team can't seem to beat anyone these days; Then your DH, JASON GIAMBI decides to air his steroid laundry (great time to bare your soul); Now you have the most-expensive player in baseball, married with a beautiful 2-year-old and wife, gallivanting all over Canada with strippers and apparently not giving a rat's ass who sees him. Here's hoping he has an air-tight pre-nup. Methinks he's going to need it. Do you think JOE TORRE is second-guessing his decision to come back and manage this year? YANKEE fans, take note: There's still time to jump on the bandwagon of America's Team, the CLEVELAND INDIANS. But hurry: the train's leaving the station....LITE NITE THURSDAYS- All LIGHT beers (bottles/drafts), $4.00, (4pm-10pm)

It's a New York thing. You wouldn't understand. It could be worse. It could be $6.00 a beer. ;)
1. The Los Angeles Ducks of Anaheim clearly have this sewn up, let's move on.
2. A real team actually look like it's the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
3. The "I got it!" call last night by A-Rod was a complete punk move. Threatened by losing 6 straight, you pull out the stops I guess.
Here in Wisconsin a lot of places have $1.00 draft night. Of course you could go with $5.00 pitchers but that depends on the size of the pitcher. Double Bubble is always great. Buy one get one free of anything. Or the best yet $10.00 all you can eat brats and draft beers all night long. It doesn't cost a lot of money here to get fucked up.
