CAVS DONE..... RED BULL FUNLast night was the best of times and the worst of times, all rolled into one. The best of times included a pretty fun RED BULL promo that got a lot of patrons into the spirit of partying; the worst of times.... yep, the worst of times involved my team, the CLEVELAND CAVS, getting swept away like a dead roach on a wooden floor by the SAN ANTONIO SPURS.
Let's deal with the loss first. I have to give credit where credit is due. The Spurs were the far superior team in this series and they proved it by shutting down the future star
of the NBA, LeBRON JAMES. And that is what a championship team is supposed to do. While the young star valiantly tried to carry his team on his shoulders, the rest of the supporting cast could not step up to the plate when needed. Meanwhile, the Spurs got timely help from all members of the team, from the starters to the bench, to the coaching staff. They effectively shut the Cavs down. So I tip my hat to both teams: To the Spurs on winning yet another NBA championship; and to the Cavs, on a great season; you achieved much more than most expected. At least you walk away from this season with timely experience. There's always next year.Meanwhile, while all this was going on, there was a promo taking place (RED BULL POWER HOUR); The premise was a simple one- you buy the shot and we provide the RED BULL. In essence, you were buying half/priced drinks. Those who like to indulge in RED BULL were in heaven as the taurene/caffeine concoction was flowing like water. Between the promo and the NBA Finals, the bar was teeming with patrons. Especially female patrons! Kudos to MATT from RED BULL for putting the promo together. Job well done!
