OOF!

Last night was Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and my team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Already down 2-0 in the series, AMERICA's TEAM desperately needed to win this game in front of its home fans, not only to get back into the series, but to boost the confidence of a city, used to bad luck and heartbreak.

Game 3 looked at times, as if the Cavs would come out with a hard fought victory; LeBron James showed flashes of greatness throughout the game- however, Tim Duncan and the Spurs are repeat champions for a reason and they have shown it time and time again in the series. As a result, due to a "non-call" at the end of the game, the Spurs pulled out a hard-fought defensive victory, 75-72, to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Now no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in NBA Finals history. While I will continue to hold out hope that there's a first time for everything, it ain't lookin' good. Unless there's a major change in the play of the Cavs, it looks like the hard luck streak will continue for the fair city of Cleveland. *sigh*

The fat lady ain't singing yet.... but that bitch sure is clearing her throat right about now. Game 4, tomorrow night.
