MELANCHOLY BLUES....
Last night was one of those quiet nights that you hate to sit through. The block's quiet, the bar's quiet; those factors seem to make time stand still. It happens from time to time, and you just deal with it.
One good thing that came from it (if any) is that it allowed me to catch up on some paperwork/projects.
And to make matters worse, it's raining cats and dogs outside as I write this.
OVERHEARD OUTSIDE: One of our regulars was outside smoking a cigarette when an old man walked by with his dog. The patron went over to pet the dog because it looked like a mini-"lassie". As she began to pet the dog, the dog turned around and stuck its ass in the patron's face. She looked over to the owner and said the following:
"Umm why is your dog puttin' his ass in my face?"
The dog owner replied: "He likes when you scratch his ass.. haven't you ever turned around and stuck your ass in a man's face when you're with him?"
And she snapped back: "Umm yeah, but not to scratch it!"
You can't make this stuff up.
TONIGHT: "Lite Nite" Thursdays (4pm-10pm), all LIGHT BEERS are $4.00. And for those who aren't into light beers, MC SORLEY'S ORIGINAL ALE is also available for $4.00!
GAME 1 of the N.L.C.S. begins tonight (Arizona vs Colorado), 8pm. FLORIDA STATE vs WAKE FOREST (7:30pm), and NY ISLANDERS vs TORONTO (7pm).
