HUMP DAY BLUES.... THE SEQUEL

It's Wednesday (better known as "Hump Day") and for some reason I'm trying to find extra motivation to push myself over the hump to get to the weekend. Not quite sure why I feel frumpy today; Maybe it's the case of the "Blahs"? Who knows. It doesn't help that as I write this, the weatherman is predicting snow flurries for the weekend. I guess winter will officially be here soon enough (I even broke down and pulled in my air conditioner this morning). God, I hate winter. All I know is that I have to pull myself out of this funk soon.

One thing I am looking forward to this weekend is MR. LOW-KEY's bachelor party (yes ladies, he's off the market). A quiet, laid-back night is expected (yeah, who are we kidding?) and I'm sure a good time will be had. He deserves his toast as he is a great guy.

Here's some "RAW DATA" for you (provided by PLAYBOY Magazine):

*Before lifting the ban on flick lighters in August 2007, the Transportation Security Administration confiscated an average of 22,000 of them a day.

*The United States is the most heavily armed society in the world, with an average of 90 guns for every 100 citizens.

*In a W Magazine poll, 38% of female readers said they hid luxury purchases from their partner.

*48% of American employees say that at least one of their co-workers is a "workplace princess" who has an excessive sense of entitlement and expects special favors on the job. 16% say that their workplace princess is a man.

*The Australian Government spent $70 million on an internet porn filter. 30 minutes after it went live, in August, a 16-year old hacker foiled it.

*27% of Americans did not read a book in the past year.

Interesting.

What's on tap for today? Let's see. There's CHAMPIONS LEAGUE soccer (for you international "football" aficionados) taking place this afternoon (2:30pm). Some of the teams expected to play include MANCHESTER UNITED and BARCELONA.

There's also plenty of NHL and NBA action on tap for tonight. I also noticed that college basketball is starting up which is yet another sign that winter is almost here (sigh).

$3.00 Mixed Well Drinks (for ladies), Molson Canadian Drafts and $4.00 Coors Light all night long!

Maybe I'll see ya around.
