THIRD AND LONG.... THE SANDWICH?
Yes boys and girls, it's true. After many weeks of posturing and cajoling, yours truly was finally able to convince the powers that be at MANHATTAN CENTER MARKET (3rd Avenue between East 34th and 35th Street) to name a sandwich after me. Well, not me exactly- but the bar (a hearty compromise between the two of us). So there it is- in the flesh: The THIRD and LONG SPECIAL. This beautiful mess of a sandwich consists of the following:
Breaded chicken cutlet, crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese, red onions and honey mustard on a toasted roll. It may not be the prettiest sandwich, but it tastes friggin' good! Just ask my bartenders....
They sure seem to like it; and one's an honest-to-goodness chef!Next time you're in the neighborhood, try it out and tell me what you think!
