GIANTS CLEARS THE FIRST HURDLE....

Sunday afternoon was a fun-filled one with plenty of Giants fans (true blue and band-wagon jumpers alike), cheering on Big Blue as they faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the NFL playoffs. Things started out slowly for Big Blue as they struggled to get on track. However, the faithful Giants fans, led by the rousing chants of MR. CHIPS, kept the faith and eventually their dedication paid dividends. The Giants turned things around and took over the game, ultimately winning 24-14. This was a huge win for the Giants as they now get to face their arch nemesis, the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday. Should make for a chaotic day.

During the course of the afternoon, we also had our raffle drawing for the members of the Touchdown Club; Congrats to MR. CHIPS as he scored a nice cash windfall for being the lucky name picked out of all of the club members entries for the season. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I want to thank all of the Touchdown Club members as well as the SUNDAY BREW CREW and all of the other patrons that helped make this football season a successful one. We still have the NFL playoffs as well as our Annual Super Bowl bash to look out for. Stay tuned for more details!

We were also graced with a weekend visit from GOLDIE, who happened to be in town on work-related stuff. He hung out with the gang on Saturday as we watched some NFL playoff action; He also made an appearance on Sunday and met up with some more of his old work buddies as well as some Brew Crew folks and lots of good laughs were shared.

As we sat around joking about and doing what comes naturally on Sundays, I couldn't help but to look towards the calendar and realize that this football season is rapidly coming to an end. It seems like just yesterday that we started the season and here it is, almost over just like that. Where does all the time go? I don't really feel like getting melancholy so I'll simply ride the wave and enjoy it while it lasts.

Re-capping the past week: New Year's Eve was a blast; The next couple of days were brutally slow, due to post-holiday hangover and brittle cold weather. The weekend experienced a huge bounce back with really busy nights both Friday and Saturday. Sunday was not as crazy as your typical Sunday Funday, but steady and fun nevertheless.

MONDAY: NCAA National Championship Game: LSU vs Ohio State, 8pm. $1.00 Bud/Bud Light/Coors Light MUGS, ALL NIGHT LONG!!!
