New Year's Eve Recap- Pt II.

New Year's Eve was a flurry of activity leading up to the big NYE's Soiree, hosted by BABY GIRL and her brothers. This was to be a private party, which to be honest with you, was a godsend for me because I hate New Year's Eve when it comes to being open to the public. It's basically a dressed up version of Amateur Night, or more like Amateur Nightmare. Tons of people are out with the sole purpose of getting shit-faced and instead of going with the flow and enjoying the night for what it is, the majority treat the evening as if it was a race. A race to consume as much alcohol as possible before midnight. That always lead to problems.

However, with a private party, even though you will still get your share of drunken idiots, it's more of a "controlled chaos"; and the fact that most of the people at a private party know each other, the chances of something bad happening diminishes drastically.

With that being said, BABY GIRL's party was easily the smoothest and easiest New Year's Party I've ever worked. Everyone there were there to have fun and were chilled out about it. No knuckleheads. Lots of hot chicks. Lots of dancing and socializing and plenty of hook-ups to go around. Aside from a small disagreement over ipod playlists, the night went perfectly. What more could you ask for?
























As you can see, a good time was had by all. While all was calm and smooth on the inside, out on 3rd Avenue, it demeanor was much different. it was a virtual shit-show as there were plenty of drunken behavior to go around as well as many fights on the streets and in various bars on the strip. At one point, I witnessed a skirmish that brought in at least ten police cars from all directions. They swooped in so quickly that it felt like I was on a movie set or something. Crazy stuff. Thankfully we didn't have that kind of nonsense going on at Third and Long.
