I DON'T LIKE MONDAYS.....
That was the general consensus last night as the neighborhood resembled an empty war zone. Traffic was very scarce and that affected the whole block of bars and restaurants, ours included. As I went about mingling with the patrons, whenever I asked how someone was feeling, more than one person said (and I'm not kidding), "Ahhh, I hate Mondays...."; Whether it was because they were wiped out from the weekend or hated the thought of going back to work, I couldn't help but to think of that famous song, "I Don't Like Mondays" (By the Boomtown Rats).
At least we were able to get the building to look blue (with the help of more blue lightbulbs). Seems fitting with the way most of the patrons were feeling. Ugh. You know things are bad when the highlight of your night involved a couple of cute chicks eating pizza.....
Seriously.At least things are looking up for today with temps expected to hover around 50 degrees. Giddy-up! Hopefully that will encourage folks to come out tonight.
We have one week before FAT TUESDAY! And TWO more days before the end of NO-JUICE JANUARY!! Can I get another "Giddy-up"?
DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS continues tonight.
