HARD TO BREAK OLD HABITS. SERIOUSLY.
With the start of the New Year, most of us are prone to starting new regimens, usually affiliated with New Year's resolutions. Now as a general rule, I hate resolutions because for the most part, you are doomed to failure. You know the deal: You want to start the year fresh by doing those things that are supposed to make you better; like losing weight for example. You get pumped up on Jan. 1. Join the local gym or order that gym set that you saw on that late-night infomercial. This burst of energy lasts for about two weeks before you find yourself lapsing back into old habits and that newly ordered gym set becomes a glorified sweater dryer.
With that being said, I still feel the need to make some changes in my life; At the very least, modify some habits that will hopefully lead to some other changes. With the bizarre schedule that I currently keep due to the nature of this business, it wrecks havoc on my eating and sleeping habits. So what I am aiming to do is to try to correct or modify those habits that are currently wrecking "the temple" that I chimed about last week. This includes the usual: More sleep, less late-night hours, cutting out late night meals, etc. SERIOUSLY.
I know that these modifications won't happen overnight (as we speak it's 2am); however, I'm giving it the old college try. At my age, I have no choice but to take these things more seriously. I'll try and update you guys on my progress over the next few weeks. In the meantime, it's time for me to hit the sack. Wish me luck!
More updates in the morning!
