HELL OR HIGH WATER.... ROCKIN' THE HOUSE!

Third and Long hosted the 19th Annual KENNETH DOLAN Memorial Fundraiser at the bar last night. The bar offered an open bar and great raffle prizes for the many who were in attendance. We even provided live music for the party and the band of choice: HELL OR HIGH WATER, a local favorite. Here's sample of what their band played at the bar last night (watch your volume):



The band has its share of groupies, which I found quite amusing. I do have to say, however, that once you listen to the band, you will find that they do indeed have a pretty good sound. They had the folks in attendance up and dancing along with their live tunes. Beautiful stuff.



A meeting of the minds?

I also got to meet a few of the blog readers who happened to be at the bar last week; Turns out they were very nice and personable (thanks for the kind words, by the way). I think I may have overheard one or two of the guys sitting near me say that the girls from this group were pretty cute. I think I may have to agree with them on this assessment. The group as a whole were pretty cool; cool enough that I may actually have to come up with a name for them.

Late in the evening, AFFLECK, CUSACK, STIFFIE and AMERICAN PSYCHO surprised their buddy ABU with a champagne toast for his birthday, which I thought was a nice touch. And it seems that the boys are on a health kick of sorts, giving up cigarettes and working out to shed some of that winter weight. Good luck boys!

TONIGHT:

AFTER-WORK HAPPY HOUR (5pm-10pm): All beers and mixed well drinks, $4.00! Mets vs Yankees @7:30pm; NHL PLAYOFFS continue with DETROIT vs DALLAS at 8pm, while NBA Playoffs feature a tough series featuring CLEVELAND and BOSTON and L.A. LAKERS facing UTAH in pivotal matchups.

SATURDAY: "Kick the Keg" featuring $2.00 mugs of beer (all brands) from 12pm until 8pm! Catch Yankees vs Mets (1pm), as well as the Preakness Stakes at around 5pm.

SUNDAY: Sunday FUN-day (12noon- close) features a life filled with crossword puzzles, board games, music and a whole lot of other things that makes relaxing on a Sunday afternoon that much more enjoyable... And don't forget $4.00 Domestic Drafts!

Going to try and catch up on some ZZZZZ's before my posts start looking like thissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. Will try to update again before the weekend begins.
