WET BAR BLUES...
The "monsoon" that was predicted for the New York City area finally hit us today, and the hits just kept on coming and coming. And I think all of the area bars are paying for it now as the foot traffic on 3rd Avenue is pretty light. As of midnight, the rains seem to have tapered off a bit so maybe we'll get a late-night hit of some kind. The Mets got rained out, which should have been a sign of things to come. Hmmmmm....
As for the rest of the weekend, here's what's on tap here:
SATURDAY: "Kick the Keg" Saturdays (12 noon-8pm): $2.00 mugs, ALL BEERS ON TAP, with OPIE CUNNINGHAM behind the stick all afternoon. Saturday night features NHL Playoff hockey with Dallas vs Detroit at 7pm. There's also NBA playoff action as well as MLB baseball featuring the NY Yankees AND the NYMets.
SUNDAY: "Sunday FUN-day" with $4.00 Domestic Drafts and Mixed Well Drinks ALL AFTERNOON! Hosted by THAT DAY BARTENDER GUY, kick back and relax with the Sunday Times Puzzle, sports on TV, and if THAT DAY BARTENDER GUY can figure out how to hook up the Nintendo Wii System, then you can play that too! In any case, feel free to join us!
Hope you have a great weekend!
