OPIE AND NACHO LIBRE'S RESTARUANT REVIEW

In a never-ending quest to broaden the horizons of the readers of this blog, we will periodically bring you stories and insights of the neighborhood and what makes it unique. That being said, here's a new feature to the Diary of Third and Long:

OPIE AND NACHO LIBRE'S LUNCHTIME RESTAUANT REVIEW

date: Wednesday, June 25
time: 1pm
venue of choice: BEST WINGERS EXPRESS

What inspired you to select BEST WINGERS for lunch?

OPIE CUNNINGHAM: "I was inspired by the brightly colored menu and the shitty sounding name of the place."

NACHO LIBRE: "He pay for the food."

What did you order?

O.C.: "I went with the Chicken Tenders with Cheezy Potato Wedges."

How did you like it?

O.C.: "To be honest with you, standing alone, these Chicken Tenders were average at best. That being said, combined with the superb Potato Wedges with succulent Nacho Cheese sauce, and topped with some Classic Ken's Steakhouse Honey Mustard, we're now talking about an entirely different culinary experience. As a meal, these Chicken Tenders became soul-satisfyingly delicious. "

"Would I order them again? Does a bear shit in the woods? Occasionally yes. Yes he does. And so will I."

How about you, NACHO LIBRE?

NACHO LIBRE: "Um.... French Fries, Chicken Hero."

Chicken Hero?

N.L.: "Chicken H-E-R-O."

They sell Chicken Heros?

O.C.: "No, Chicken G-Y-R-O".

Ah..... I see. How was it?

N.L.: "Gyro... yeah, good. Pita bread, good. French Fries... good." (pregnant pause). "burp".

Alrighty then. Is there anything else you want to add?

O.C.: "Um, yeah, can you leave us alone so we can finish?"

There you have it. Our first installment of OPIE AND NACHO LIBRE'S LUNCHTIME RESTAURANT REVIEW.
