CHOCOLATE RAIN REVISITED

Just returned from the Laundromat and turned on the TV, where it happened to be on the MAURY POVICH SHOW. You know that show- the one where every ghetto-fab chick or red neck trash appears looking for a DNA test to prove who their babydaddies are. Yes, that show.

This morning's episode was the one where he highlights the "World's Wackiest Videos". One video that stood out was the one that I wrote about over a year ago:



"Chocolate Rain" by some strange-looking dude named TAY ZONDAY. Apparently this obscure video posted on YouTube turned into a huge video hit around the world, thrusting this guy into superstardom.

Upon watching the video, you can't help but to get sucked into the trance-like state of the singer and the song. Kinda creepy.

Well, on MAURY's show, he introduced the same guy AND had him sing the same song, live!!! First of all, the guy's twenty-five years old (on a good day, he could pass for 15 easy); His voice does sound like that when he talks, which makes him even creepier. And what really put him over the top of the creep-o-meter was the live performance: The man has no rhythm!!! At one point during his performance, a few members of the audience jumped up and began dancing around him while he was singing and he was honestly freaked out! This guy has MICHAEL JACKSON written all over him.

Talk about a strange way to start my day.
