ALL-STAR MARATHON..... WOW!
Last night's MLB All-Star Game turned out to be one for the ages. A fifteen-inning classic lasting almost 5 hours, the game provided many "oohs and ahhs" for the patrons as both teams actually played hard in the quest for World Series home field advantage.
The bar was packed for much of the evening, with interns, suits, a couple of birthday parties, and tourists who couldn't get tickets to the game taking in the action. We even had our own bit of action as a couple of geeks decided to get into a shoving match with each other and the Third and Long Staff (led by yours truly) having to intervene and" escort" them out the door.... Fun stuff.
Happy Birthday... to someone.
How ironic was it that I got a picture of the combatants before they squared off....
Then I realized that they were really going at it....

So after the last out was made at around 1:35am, those fractured few who stuck around until the very end left the bar with smiles on their faces, knowing that they'd just witnessed a classic ball game. One for the record books.
TONIGHT: "Ladies Night" with $3.00 Mixed Well Drinks (for ladies), $5.00 Cosmos/Appletinis and Imported Beers, ALL NIGHT LONG!
