WHEN IT RAINS.... (fill in the blank).

As I write this, the storm clouds are finally leaving the area, giving me hope for a good afternoon at the bar. It is Kick the Keg Saturday, you know...

Friday night turned out to be a pretty good night after all. Especially with the way things started out. The afternoon was unusually quiet, with most of the daytime regulars missing in action early on. That changed dramatically when a group of interns from JP Morgan rolled in to celebrate their last day on the job before heading back to school. That brought a nice hit to the day and got things rolling into Happy Hour.

Happy Hour was pretty lively as well, as we were blessed with a high hottie count; Again, folks were ready to start the weekend right and made it a point to drink their faces off. The only thing that I had a problem with was the dang humidity- every time you walked outside, it felt as if someone slapped you in the face with a wet sponge.

The night had its share of odd folks and bratty frat boys, but no harm, no foul. We got a late night visit from WINNIE COOPER who was on her way home and decided to pop in to say "hi". CHEF TELL also surprised the staff by bringing in a "mufelatta" sandwich, which was to die for. It's pretty cool to have a bartender who doubles as a chef.

Overall it was a good night. However, I'm feeling it today as I found myself pressed into service by working the afternoon shift. No sleep for the weary. So far, it's been a good day, aside from the mini-monsoon we were hit with at around noon. There's a nice crew of folks watching the Yankees/Angels game and a couple of old-timers from Syracuse, here for a "Boys Weekend". Good stuff.

More to come.....
