As I scan the channels, all of the newscasts are talking about how the retail stores are in a panic because this is the worst Christmas shopping season in over 40 years. So many of the stores are pulling out all of the stops- doing the unthinkable like offering free refreshments to shoppers, staying open 24 hours a day and in some instances, even allowing haggling of prices by accepting the most reasonable offer for their products! Talk about panic mode! Will this stimulate the shoppers to pry open their change purses and purchase those last minute gifts? Only time will tell though I have to tell ya, I really haven't noticed much by way of folks walking around town with tons of shopping bags. Stay tuned....
It is brutally cold outside at the moment, 20 degrees at approx 6am. It was pretty cold last night and it doesn't bode well for warmer temps again today. Winter is making its presence felt big time. All we need is some real snow and we'd be set for a white Christmas.
We finally got to spring DELIRIUM TREMENS to the public yesterday to generally positive reviews. Look for the handle with the Pink Elephant on it and remember- take care in drinking this beer; it's good yet deceptively potent. ;)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Dolphins/Jets game for this Sunday has been moved to 4:15pm! That should make for a rockin' afternoon! GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!
