MY HOW TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN.

In conversations with FIRE MARSHALL ED yesterday we realized that the blog will reach 4 years of existence at the end of the month. Yes, FOUR years! Has it really been that long since I've been doing this? What started out as an amusing little hobby for myself has indeed turned into a sheer labor of love. I admit, there have been times where I've wanted to chuck this thing out of the window and give it up but for better or worse, this blog has been my little baby. While it doesn't generate the millions of hits that other bloggers seek for self-satisfaction, I am more than content with the few loyal followers that have stuck by this thing as long as I have. Especially in light of the fact that my recent stuff hasn't always been up to snuff. My schedule of late hasn't always allowed me to bring you all of the tidbits you've grown accustomed to getting from me, but I'm working on rectifying that on my end.

With that being said, it's always nice to see other blog readers turn around and start their own blog. And for that, I applaud them. For example, MR. TANQUERAY , a long time reader and occasional contributor to this blog, recently started his own blog, the often witty HARD TACKLES AND DIRTY BATHS, named after a book written by his favorite soccer player of all time, GEORGE BEST. And then there's JUNIOR, one of our barbacks. He and a group of friends recently put together a blog called INTERNATIONAL BEER NIGHT, which chronicles the lives of four college lads and their devotion to beer, beer, and more beer. Specifically beers from all over the world. An ambitious project but hey, they're young, let 'em dream big.

So with that being said, as long as the motivation is there, you'll keep hearing from me. And as always, you the reader, are my motivation. Thanks as always for your continued support. By the way, a while back I touted the movie SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE to you guys and recommended that you go check it out. I've been pretty good at recommending good flicks to you
and this one is yet another example of quality viewing. Now that it kicked ass in the recent Golden Globes and stands to do well in the upcoming Oscars, is it too early to say "I told you so"? I'm glad to see folks are finally catching on to this gem of a flick.

And if for nothing else, see to check out FREIDA PINTO, the actress who stars in the film. She is smokin' hot! If for some reason you are still sitting on the couch, get off of your ass and go see it. Trust me, you'll love this film.
