Today is the worst day of the year in the life of a bar. Why is that? Because it's the first Sunday after the Super Bowl. It's the first time that all red-blooded males retreat back to their loved ones (specifically wives, fiancees, and girlfriends), and try to make up for six month's worth of M.I.A. And if there were any chance of anyone trying to sneak away for a quick cold one, it got dashed right away when NYC got an unexpected hit of spring weather, featuring 60 degree temps and bright sunshine. Stick a fork in me.
So what does one do in a situation like this? Simply bite the bullet and go with the flow. That's all you can do. Hell, if I wasn't working in a bar, I'd be out and about too, as it was indeed a beautiful day. It's a part of February and all that it brings. They don't call it "Black February" for just Black History Month, that's for sure. Until we approach March Madness and St. Patrick's Day, each weekend will be a toss-up as to what the day will bring.
Speaking of SUNDAY BLUES, it saddens me to have to say goodbye to three of Third and Long's friends as they move on to greener pastures: TALL MICHELLE, OPIE CUNNINGHAM AND STIFFLER.

Each has brought their own style and personality to the place, helping to enhance Third and Long as a place where anyone can feel welcome. And as they move on to more prosperous endeavors, they will no doubt leave their mark here and we will always remember them with fond thoughts. Farewell....

When's White History month? Did I miss it already? I can't find it in my calendar! Oh, fuck, I'm sure I missed it. My great great ancestors will be so disappointed with me.

Well, I will definitely miss all of you guys too. It will be weird when NFL comes around and I am not at T and L for the Falcons games. Good luck to all and I will see ya when I visit.
