NOTRE DAME vs PENN STATE: THE BATTLE FOR FIFTH!

Yes boys and girls, the NIT (National Invitation Tournament) is in town this week with BAYLOR facing off against SAN DIEGO STATE in the first matchup and NOTRE DAME vs PENN STATE in the nightcap. What's the big deal about this tournament? Well when you break it down, these four teams are playing for the right to be called the "Fifth-Best Team in America". Why fifth? Well, they obviously didn't make the Big Dance, let alone the real Final Four. So when you do the math, after UNC, UCONN, MSU and VILLANOVA, the NIT champion can do no better than fifth, right? And in their minds, it gives them a lofty goal to play for.

In any case, we're holding a NIT Viewing Party for fans of Notre Dame/Penn State (and sure if there's a Baylor or SDSU fan in existence in New York, you can come too), with the games being aired on our TV's and $1.00 Bud/Bud Light mugs to help you contemplate what could have been.... And if that doesn't motivate you, how about FRENCHY and BABY GIRL behind the stick?

Hey, it's better than nothing. Fun starts at 7pm.
