Last week turned out to be a pretty good week at the bar. Most nights were consistently good ones, thanks in part to some great weather and the start of the NHL Playoffs (It also doesn't hurt that the local teams are playing well either). We had our share of "interesting" patrons too, which always makes the nights that much more entertaining (for the most part). The great weather also brings out those outfits that make you wince as some folks clearly aren't quite ready for the revealing wear just yet. That being said, having the windows open and being able to relax with a cold drink and people-watch; there's little out there that's better than that.
This week looks to be much of the same, with the weather gods cooperating with us (except for today, with rain in the forecast) and more events taking place over the next few nights. What I would like to see, however, are more NY Rangers fans in attendance as our bar has been dominated by Capitals fans. Nothing wrong with Caps fans, mind you; It's just that if you are the home team, you should hold down your bar like a home team's patrons should. If I'm a Rangers fan hanging out in a home bar filled with my competitors fans and I'm in the minority, I'd be embarrassed. I'm just sayin'. Nuff said.
Tonight's matchups are as follows:
NY RANGERS vs WASHINGTON (7pm)
BOSTON vs MONTREAL (7pm)
CHICAGO vs CALGARY (9pm)
YANKEES vs OAKLAND (7pm, barring a rainout)

BREW NEWS
Our revolving taps bring us a few new brands this week: On tap we bring aboard SIXPOINT SWEET ACTION (replacing SIXPOINT RIGHTEOUS RYE) and making a return visit after a long absence, PILSNER URQUELL (replacing SMITHWICK'S) and BROOKLYN PENNANT ALE (replacing BROOKLYN DARK CHOCOLATE STOUT). Try them out and tell us what you think!
Tonight should be a good night so if I were you, I'd get there early. Between the playoff games and the "RECESSION MONDAY" specials ($1.00 mugs, Bud/Bud Light/Coors Light OR $2.00 all other Domestic Draft mugs), it will be busy.
See you there!
