GREAT NIGHT FOR THE BLUESHIRTS

Last night's pivotal match-up between the NY Rangers and the Washington Capitals lived up to the hype as the two teams played each other as if their lives depended on it. A very physical matchup, the action between the teams kept the fans of both teams on the edge of their seats. Even when the Rangers went up by the score of 2-0, there was still a sense of urgency among the fans of both teams. And when Washington scored to cut the lead to one goal, you could cut the tension in the room with a knife. The passion of the fans of both teams was refreshing to see, though at times I thought we would have another incident of "fan-rage" between the two cheering factions. And when SEAN AVERY committed an ill-advised penalty towards the end of the game, it was all anyone could do to faint as the two teams played out a very tense penalty that would have made or break the game. The Rangers ended up holding off the hard-charging Capitals in a thrilling 2-1 victory to take a commanding 3-1 lead in their series. If the Blueshirts somehow hold off Washington to win the series, they will face Boston, who dispatched my lowly Montreal Canadiens in four straight to win their series handily (fuckers).

We also raffled off Labatt Blue t-shirts in between periods and gave away a pair of NY Yankees Field Box seats to next week's game vs Anaheim, courtesy of MillerCoors and Manhattan Beer.

So the scene is set: The Rangers can close out the series Friday night in Washington and of course, we'll carry all of the action LIVE (with sound), beginning at 7pm! Get there early as we began receiving calls for reservations right after the game last night!
