IT'S FLEET WEEK!
Walking around Manhattan today I was reminded of another sign that Summer is here: Sailors. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's FLEET WEEK in New York City, which means that the boys are back in town!
Each year at this time the Big Apple is invaded by scores of servicemen from the U.S. Armed Forces as well as sailors and military personnel from throughout the world, much to the delight of the ladies of our fair city and the flag-waving supporters of the U.S. They bring a shot of enthusiasm to the city and from our experiences, a friendly dose of humble pride. The only ones who usually hate to see Fleet Week are the single guys who usually lose out to them with the ladies. Oh well, so you don't get laid for a week.

As for the servicemen/women of Fleet Week, we'll show our support by looking out for them while they are in town. That includes special drink prices just for them, to show our appreciation for all that they do. And if you happen to come across a serviceman/woman during your travels this week, take a moment to greet them and to say thanks for what they are doing for our country. You'll be surprised at the reaction you'll get from them, many of which will be visiting our fair city for the first time. Let's show them that New York is a far cry from the negative stereotype that is often portrayed of us.REMINDER: "DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS" tonight, featuring $1.00 Bud/Bud Light mugs! And WEDNESDAY NIGHT PUB TRIVIA (Wednesday, 8pm), featuring $15.00 Buckets of Bud Light cans and $3.00 Mixed Well Drinks for ladies!
