RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY.....

What is up with this bizarre weather? We're halfway through June, a mere few days away from the official start of Summer, yet you would never know it. Between the cooler-than-normal weather (which I don't mind), the constant rains (which I do mind) and the bizarre weather patterns overall, I don't know what to expect from one day to the next.

And believe it or not boys and girls, this bizarre weather does affect business. Look at yesterday, for example. The day itself was cloudy and cool at first. Then the sun came out and the temps rose and everything looked as if it was going to be alright. Then right around the time for everyone to get out of work, we get a torrential downpour of epic proportions. WTF? Of course, the rains stop at around 8-9 pm; by then it was too late to develop any type of Happy Hour crowd. Ridiculous, I tell ya, simply ridiculous.

One bright note in all of this: Everyone seems to be into the Beer Bingo. It's funny.... no one wants to be that first guy/girl to go up and get a bingo card, but once that first brave soul makes it up to JUNIOR, THE BINGO BOY and grab that card, it's a free for all after that. Everyone then gets totally into it and by the end of the game, everyone's having a good time.

So there's this soccer tournament going on in South Africa called the Confederations Cup. It's an 8-team tournament and it's being billed as the trial run to the 2010 World Cup. I found myself watching some of it yesterday and to be quite honest with you, I don't quite get the point. When you have the likes of Brazil playing Egypt, or Spain against lowly New Zealand... well, really? Can I really get up for these matchups? Well, now that basketball and hockey are done for the season, it's either baseball or this. Yay.

DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS kicks off Tuesday night with $1.00 mugs of Bud/Bud Light, starting at 4pm.

REMINDER: We are celebrating our 18th Anniversary this Thursday with a night of good pouring fun! With live music, "Turn Back the Clock" prices and plenty of great friends of the bar (both past and present) there to celebrate and reminisce, it should be a rockin' good time! Fun starts at 5pm and goes ALL NIGHT LONG! Hope to see you there!

Awesome Brewers/Indians game last night! Of course it had to be one of the six games I've missed so far this year.
