THREE WEEKS 'TIL KICKOFF!

As we head into the last week of August and what was a very weak summer, I can't help but to look forward to what is the best time of year for us: FOOTBALL SEASON! In less than three weeks, the NFL and NCAA kicks off their seasons and football fans everywhere are anxiously awaiting with baited breath.

Fantasy football drafts are now in high gear, team jerseys are being pulled out of closets and NFL pre-season games are helping to fuel dreams of playoffs for many fans. Speaking of which, we've gotten hit with a lot of requests for pre-season games for out-of-town teams. The problem, however, lies in that while we sponsor the NFL Sunday Ticket (which carries all NFL regular season games), the package does NOT include pre-season games. So unless a game is carried locally or on a national network (ESPN, FOX, NFL NETWORK, CBS), then you aren't going to get to see your game. So imagine the number of disgruntled fans I've had to deal with the last couple of weeks. All I can say is "don't shoot the messenger".

Best part of all of this is the gathering of the SUNDAY BREW CREW. Members are slowly, but surely making their way back to the bar, jockeying for seating positions and starting up the smack talk that we know and love. Everyone seems to be doing well and looking well rested. I expect it to be another fun-filled season and not a moment too soon.

As always, we're have room for a few new members of the SUNDAY BREW CREW. If you think you have what it takes to be a SUNDAY BREW CREW member, send me a pic and a brief bio of yourself. Brew Crew members are a unique breed and not everyone is cut out to be a member of the SUNDAY BREW CREW. At the very least, you should be outgoing, thick-skinned, host vast knowledge of the game of football and have a sense of humor. Thin-skinned, faint-hearted types should not apply.
