IT'S A TAD BIT BRISK OUT HERE...

We're getting our first real feel of Autumn with the temps hovering around the 60's and the breezy winds blowing about. I actually had to close my windows last night because of the chill in the air. While I personally welcome the subtle change in the weather, I am also saddened by the fact that all of the beautiful ladies of our fair city will now be covered up in oversized clothing for the next six months. *sigh*.

Big sports weekend here with the YANKEES looking to clinch the A.L. East title with a HUGE series versus their dreaded rivals, the BOSTON RED SOX. The NY Jets and Giants also have big games this Sunday, but with a rare, unusual twist: Both NY football teams will be playing at the same time. I cannot recall the last time both the Giants and Jets played at the same time, truly unheard of. I'm told that the reason that both teams are playing at 1pm has to do with Yom Kippur, a Jewish holiday that begins at sundown. I guess the Jewish fans have to be home by sundown or something like that. The Yankees/Red Sox game, originally scheduled for 8pm, was also moved up to 1pm. It puts me in a curious dilemma: What game do I put the sound on? Interesting... Maybe I'll post a poll and let you decide...

That being said, this makes for a very busy early Sunday afternoon. Not sure what to expect after the 1pm games. The Miami Dolphins have a 4:15 game vs San Diego, so we should still be busy for that, however, after that.... we'll see. The Tunnel to Towers Charity Run takes place on Sunday so I'm sure we'll get a few stragglers from that event, which always makes for an interesting afternoon (remember the "fireworks" from last year?).

On Saturday afternoon, Sam Adams will host a promo, just in time for the 3:30 games. They will also raffle off an Ohio State and USC jersey (yes, I know it's a couple weeks late), so if you are a fan of either school, stop by for $2 mugs and take a chance on getting a free jersey.

Overall, I expect a busy weekend and things around here should be back to normal, now that the United Nations chaos is finally ending.

Remember to check out our website for all the details of our weekend events. In the meantime, have a great weekend!

Green Bay looks good, I'd like to get that sound for the 1pm game.
