DRAWING EVEN....

The NY Yankees drew even with the Philadelphia Phillies, winning Game 2, 3-1, thanks to the masterful pitching of A.J. Burnett, much to the delight of the Yankee fans who packed the bar. The place was about an 80/20 split with Yankee fans being the overwhelming majority. I have to give to the Phillies fans who braved the odds and watched the whole game; they cheered on their team full tilt, without fear or repercussion. At some point during the game there was one lone Phillie fan talking a lot of shit and he ended up getting booed mercilessly by the pro-Yankee crowd, the familiar chant of ASSSSSSHOLE! ASSSSSHOLE! filling the air. The poor guy took it like a champ though and cooler heads eventually prevailed.

The Yankees and Phillies are now even at 1-1 and the next three games take place in Philadelphia, beginning on Halloween night.

Speaking of Halloween, this weekend should be a clusterfuck of fun, with both Halloween and the NYC Marathon taking place this weekend. Add to the mix the changing of clocks (we gain an hour), and we should have a lot of memorable antics take place between tonight and the end of the weekend. Imagine having to deal with drunken, costumed idiots like this guy.....

In any case, as much as I hate Halloween and all of the chaos that comes with it, I have to admit, it's still a funny time.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about the Annual NY Marathon Party. We've hosted this event every year and it's our way to salute all of the participants who attempt and finish this grueling race. It always turns into a raucous affair with plenty of dancing and singing until late into the night. Add to the mix, Game 4 of the World Series and it's sure to be a memorable night!

Check out our website for a full listing of events at the bar. Should be a good weekend! Don't forget your old school tee shirts/jerseys tonight!

That's It. That's All I Got.
