BACK TO THE BIG SHOW...
The New York Yankees finally did it; They made it back to the World Series for the first time since 2003, putting away a very feisty Anaheim Angels team, 5-2 to win the series, four games to two. While most Yankee fans will tell you that they knew that their team would ultimately win out in this series, there was some cause for concern for a moment there (think back to Boston a few years back). But at the end of the day, the Yankees prevailed and now it's on to the World Series versus Philadelphia on Wednesday.
While I tip my cap to the NY Yankees on a job well done, I can't help but to feel a bit vexed at the fact that probable starter for both teams (C.C. Sabathia and Cliff Lee) were at one point playing for Cleveland... at the same time! Whatever.... Let's focus on what's happening now: NY YANKEES vs PHILADELPHIA, Game 1, this Wednesday night. 8pm. With SOUND and great drink specials all night long!
As for Brew Crew Sunday. I wasn't available for this week's edition of BREW CREW SUNDAYS but I'm told it went pretty well. I feel bad for the NYC DOLFANS CLUB, who saw their team do the ultimate meltdown after holding a 21-point lead, losing 46-34. What do you say after a loss like that? Especially after playing lights out in the first half? Next Sunday's rematch vs NY Jets is looming large and should be a great start to a hectic yet fun NYC MARATHON PARTY (6pm)!
TONIGHT: MNF Party (Washington vs Philadelphia, 8pm), featuring $1 mugs of Coors Light, Bud/Bud Light OR $2 mugs, all other domestic drafts ALL NIGHT LONG!
