YES IT'S FRIDAY THE 13TH...

And bad luck seems to have befallen me and some of my staff members recently as there seems to be a flu virus going around. Nothing as major as swine flu, mind you, but a bug that seems to be strong enough to knock you on your ass. It just happens to coincide with the date that's always associated with bad luck (Friday the 13th). Talk about irony....

This weekend is chock full of events at the bar and catching the flu bug couldn't come at a worse time. That being said, the show must go on. Speaking of which, here's what's on tap at Third and Long this weekend:

TONIGHT: "After-Work Happy Hour" (5-9pm), featuring $4 domestic drafts/mixed well drinks; We're also hosting an evening of live acoustic music by DONOVAN and CARRION. This duo has appeared at the bar many times before and they have a pretty solid following; You can expect good covers of the likes of Dave Matthews, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and Kings of Leon, just to name a few. No cover charge.
SATURDAY: Start the day off with "Kick the Keg" Saturdays, featuring $2 mugs, ALL BEERS ON TAP* (12-8pm). Then catch the MANNY PACQUIAO vs MIGUEL COTTO ppv event live at the bar ($10 in advance/$20 day of fight)! Call (212).447.5711 to make reservations.

SUNDAY: BREW CREW SUNDAYS take center stage with a full slate of NFL football games and $4 Bud/Bud Light pints during ALL NFL GAMES!

SPECIAL NOTE: This Sunday at 5pm, you can catch our own MATT LONG on CBS as he is being honored by the ARETE AWARDS, for Courage in Sports. This is a great honor and several notable athletes such as Lance Armstrong, Walter Payton, Tiger Woods and Muhammad Ali have been honored in the past. So being in the same breath as these individuals says alot about this award.
