Pub Trivia came back after a brief hiatus to a packed house as the trivia groupies and newbies alike were anxious to get back into the swing of things. We had a couple of guest hosts, a couple of longtime Trivia buffs take over the reigns for the night and I have to say, they did a bang up job. The guest hosts had a "mystery theme" which turned out to be "STAINS", a clever play on both the mystery questions asked throughout the night and on one of our regulars who carries that nickname like a badge of honor (bless her heart). There were 16 teams in battle and most of the teams stayed in contention throughout the night. The only thing that went wrong was my damn camera which was D.O.A. I took some pics with my camera phone (which I will post shortly), but you never know what you're going to get with that.
Once again, there were plenty of women in attendance and most of them looked pretty damn good, much to the delight of the males who happened to make it to the event. Some of the guys who happened to pop by were astonished at the girl-guy ratio. Hey, what can I say? Wednesday Night Pub Trivia is Murray Hill's best-kept secret.
Tonight is another edition of "THIRSTY THURSDAYS", featuring $4 pints of Coors Light/Sam Adams and $20 buckets of Miller Lite/Coors Light. It's also the first edition of NFL'S THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, pitting the Chicago Bears vs the San Francisco 49ers. Speaking of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, Third and Long is in the running for the NFL Network's Best Sports Bar of the Week Award.
