3 DAYS AND COUNTING...

It's the Tuesday before Christmas and the scramble begins. Between the last minute gifts that need to be purchased, holiday office gatherings that are winding down, travel plans being finalized, you can feel the pressure mounting in the air. And speaking of air, it really feels like Canada today, with the temps here barely breaking 30 degrees. It's so cold, in fact, it's almost caused me to reconsider my relocation plans to our neighbors from the North.

Speaking of Canada (once again), we held a Guinness promo during our Monday Night Football game (which was won handily by the NY Giants, by the way). One of the hostesses of the promo turned out to be a pretty little blonde from Winnipeg, which for those of you out of the loop, is located in Manitoba, one of the Western Provinces of Canada.

We struck up a conversation while she was waiting for her promo partner to show up and when I found out she was from Canada, of course I perked up. And when she found out that I was a Canadiens fan, forget about it. We ended up chatting for a good twenty minutes about everything Canada, including the merits of Curling as a real sport. Pretty bizarre, especially with the rabid football fans screaming over our heads. Since she's a Canadiens fan, she's making it a point to swing by during one of our Saturday night hockey telecasts and bringing friends too. If they look anything like her, then that's a win-win for us!

During the game, a female NY Giants fan was at the end of the bar waiting for an order of beers when she commented on our "Christmas decorations", namely the subtle candy cane stretched out across the bar ceiling. She then asked if she could, and I quote, "See my Yule Log". I didn't know what to say to that. Not sure if she was serious or being clever but either way, she left a brotha speechless, which in this case, is hard to do.

I'm expecting a good night tonight as many folks will begin their exodus home for the Christmas holiday weekend after tomorrow. So finish off your last-minute shopping, then swing by and check out BABY GIRL and FRENCHY behind the stick as they dole out some more holiday cheer with $1 Bud/Bud Light mugs, ALL NIGHT LONG!

That's It. That's All I Got.

Once again, no photo of the "pretty little blonde." As Keyshawn Johnson would say, "Come on, man!"
